Writing desk for home office redesign project. Legs are solid walnut and carved from a single log. The top is walnut veneer. We designed the desk with a geometrical elements and a bit of whimsy in mind. The walnut and ebonite’s finish give it a bit more seriousness. The desk is at once modernist but is completely at home in any mid-century setting or a traditional one. The waterfall edge and asymmetrical position of the base lends to the whimsy and the 45 degree edge on the desk top and waterfall edge has a futuristic bent.
