Costa Bella
When it came to the foyer of the Costa Bella project, my client wanted a jaw dropping space to greet their guests. They also wanted to disguise an off-centered 8' travertine floor mosaic that distracted from the existing beauty of the entry. To achieve this, I partnered with Kyle Bunting Rugs to create a a free-form custom runner to hide the mosaic, center the rug in the hallway and repeat the unique pattern of the brass and iron stair rail. The color palette is in rich jewel tones that bring life to the monochromatic finishes of the foyer. A goldenrod curved settee was placed along the stair wall to create an intimate place to enjoy the view. A mosaic gallery piece from local artist J. Muzacz lends a modern aesthetic to the space and the bespoke James de Wulf hand-forged steel chandelier, draws the eye up into the 30' ceiling of the dome above.
