St. Regis Residences - Powder Room
Kendall's longtime client Marimo Berk, the co-founder of the Creekside School, owns a 3,200-square-foot pied-a-terre in San Francisco’s St. Regis Residences that needed a significant refresh after ten years. . The cherished home with jaw-dropping city views is a launching pad for the fun-loving Berk. Both the client and Kendall wanted to create a truly magical jewel box moment within the all-new powder room. Kendall went to longtime collaborator Willem Racke to execute a jungle motif meticulously hand-painted on the walls and inside the door so that when the room is in use, the guest is transported away from the mundane. Paired with a silver leafed ceiling, a custom-designed and hand-lacquered vanity, and magnificent mirror and sconces from David Wiseman. Wiseman pieces feel like jewelry paired with the faceted sink. Wilkinson balanced the staggering beauty beyond the windows with a calming yet buoyant aesthetic inside. This refresh of an existing city pied et Terre was transformed into a feminine refuge grounded in luxury, texture, color, and comfort. This was Kendall and Marimo's 5th consecutive project over a nearly 15-year friendship, and working together on this project was a joy for both women.
