Tombolo
The salon at Tombolo is conceived as both a stage and sanctuary, embodying the project’s ethos of storytelling through architecture and interiors. Every surface and element is crafted to elevate the rituals of gathering, conversation, and contemplation. The room’s nucleus is a library wall that functions as both archive and artwork, its custom shelving system integrates brass details, curated volumes, and concealed doorways that reveal unexpected vignettes. A hand-finished ladder and marble-topped cabinetry anchor the composition with craftsmanship, while niches display sculptural objects that shift the space between function and gallery.
Balanced against this precision is warmth: linen drapery filters the desert light, softening the dialogue between stone, wood, and metal. Furnishings are arranged to encourage intimacy and exchange, while the placement of art, framed studies, ceramic busts, and illuminated alcoves, creates a layered narrative that rewards lingering observation.
The salon reflects our belief that a residence is more than shelter; it is a living composition where memory, material, and meaning converge. In Tombolo, the salon becomes a threshold into the larger home’s story arc, where moments of grandeur and quietude are equally celebrated.
