LAKE FOREST WATERFALL POWDER
This powder room was part of a larger new-build for which our studio guided every aspect of the interior design. For this space, the client envisioned either an organic forest or water-inspired concept yet desired a room that felt refined and luxurious rather than thematic.
With soaring 12-foot ceilings and a compact footprint, the challenge of the tall ceilings became an opportunity to create drama through contrast and verticality. A lush, cascading waterfall mural—printed on subtly shimmering grass cloth—sets the scene, enveloping the room in depth and movement. The effect is immersive, evoking the sensation of standing at the base of a waterfall surrounded by nature.
We designed a floating black marble vanity which introduces a modern counterpoint, while a white sculptural vessel sink adds contrast. A tall mirror draws the eye upward, embracing the room’s height as its reflectivity balances the texture of the walls. Brushed gold wall sconces and plumbing fixtures lend sparkle and warmth against the moody palette. Finally, a custom multi-port globe light fixture—its colored glass orbs reminiscent of glistening water droplets—casts a gentle, reflective glow, completing this jewel-box powder room that feels at once organic and atmospheric.
