The Whiskey Lounge
This color-drenched lounge was part of a larger new-build residence designed for a young family of four, for which our studio guided every aspect of the interior design—from architectural finish selections and specifications to furnishings and final styling.
For this space, the client envisioned a warm, adult-oriented retreat where they could enjoy their spirits collection and entertain guests. Located in the East wing, the lounge was conceived as a distinct departure from the home’s otherwise minimalist, neutral aesthetic—a moody, masculine den with a refined edge.
The room’s geometry and the sculptural staircase ascending to the second level naturally informed a furniture plan centered around four tailored lounge chairs. Along the north wall, custom cabinetry incorporating a wet bar adds both function and sophistication. Deep teal-blue walls envelop the space in rich color and atmosphere, providing a dramatic backdrop for the warm camel leather seating. A fireplace clad in black porcelain with delicate gold veining anchors one side of the room, while a custom whiskey tower and the spiral stair create balance and vertical interest on the other. Brass accents lend warmth and glamour to this intimate, elevated retreat affectionately known as The Whiskey Lounge.
