L'eau Muse Bathroom

L'eau Muse is an en-suite bathroom inspired by the dramatic flair often associated with fashion’s highest art form, Haute Couture. Fluid and sculptural forms mimic the shape of water droplets, merging fantasy with function through visual play.

The moody interior features an intricate tapestry-like mural crafted from slabs of Cherry Blossom marble and travertine. Conceptualized and custom-designed by Sabah Mansoor for the space, she meticulously selected each slab to be hand-cut for precise fitting. Two large mirrored tiles offset the natural materials, playing with light and perceived depth. The floor, mimicking the weave of a knitted sweater, is created from a mix of marble, ceramic, and porcelain tiles. 

The ceiling and corner wall are finished in hand-applied Tadelakt plaster. This adds subtle texture, movement, and craftsmanship across all surfaces. Natural light is filtered through linen window panels featuring a delicate hand-embroidered floral motif, commissioned by artisans in India. Fixtures with organic forms and curvature include the silver chrome ‘raindrop’ shower head and the glass ‘Medusa Bloom’ chandelier set above the vanity. These elements complement L’eau Muse as functional art. Completing the space, a bespoke marble basin with natural, deep-wine tones, eye-catching veins, and a graceful curve becomes a statement piece.
