Tombolo
Tombolo was conceived as a fully integrated design where architecture and interiors are indivisible. Every wall, ceiling, and built element was custom designed and detailed by our studio, then executed with extraordinary craftsmanship by the millworker to achieve precision and continuity throughout the home.
Inside, the residence unfolds as a series of spatial compositions inspired by Josef Albers’ nested geometries—rooms within rooms, layers within layers, each uniquely articulated through proportion, material, and light. The result is an immersive sequence of spaces where architectural form and interior detail speak the same language.
The millwork serves as the connective tissue of the home: monolithic wall panels conceal doors and storage, built-ins merge seamlessly with structure, and staircases are sculpted as inhabitable forms. Finishes of carved wood, patinated metal, and reflective wall surfaces heighten tactility and depth, while custom furnishings and lighting reinforce the geometry and rhythm of each space.
Every corridor and gallery becomes an experience, curated, proportioned, and illuminated to reveal art, framed views, and shifting light. Here, interiors are not applied layers of decoration but integral architecture, a holistic expression of craft, composition, and narrative precision where every joint, proportion, and plane contributes to a unified story of design.
