Kitchen, Bath and Spa Remodel

In 2016, we met lighting designer Brooke Silber-Carter of BR&A Consulting Engineers during her LED technology presentation at Sacco Carpet. Years later, she reached out for help reimagining key spaces in her family’s home, beginning with the kitchen.

In the original layout, Mr. stood in a corner chatting with Mrs. while she cooked—a sweet ritual, but one that blocked the path to the sink and stove. In the redesigned space, he sits at the peninsula, where cooking and conversing occur without congestion or frustration. Kitchen planning as couples therapy.

To honor the clients’ love of nature, we selected Sicis mosaic tiles in a soothing palette. The backsplash reflects the dappled hues of the nature preserve just outside their window. Green—Brooke’s favorite color—wraps the custom cabinets by Level Home Improvements in @sherwinwilliams Coastal Plain (SW 6192), a fresh choice aligned with 2025’s emerging colorful-kitchen trend.

Finally, Brooke exercised her lighting expertise by layering lighting that meets her family’s needs. USAI's LittleOnes recessed fixtures provide even ambient lighting; Intralighting Biba Edgy pendants supply task light for work, homework, or mood lighting while entertaining; and QTL linear lights inside the glass cabinets highlight dinnerware while doubling as a nightlight for midnight munchies.
